bradelterman: Back in the seventies, I practically lived…

Back in the seventies, I practically lived between The Whiskey, The Roxy and the legendary Rainbow Bar & Grill and everyone knew me. Let’s see there was Mario, Jimmy, Michelle Myer, Suzette, Elmer, Lou, Mike and of course Tony.
You would go and see some amazing bands and then head off for pizza at The Rainbow. The Rainbow would close its doors around 2am and then you had “Meat Rack” for about an hour in the Rainbow parking lot. The deal with Meat Rack was that if you could not hook up with someone after everything had closed, you had one last shot in The Bow parking lot parking lot from 2-3am. If you could not find someone to pull home after Meat Rack, then you were a total loser! We were all so young and free back then and we did not give a shit.
This was a photo that I took in 1976 of my hero Bob Dylan that magical evening when he went to see Ronee Blakely at The Roxy. That is my wonderful friend Rodney Bingenheimer there sitting at our table. Funny, I did not even have to rise from my seat to take a photo of DYLAN. Amazing. It is just like my favorite quote from F. Scott Fitzgerald when he says “and the stars danced on our plates”!
